Happy Friday! A little catch-up today 🙂
I’m so glad to be home after a whirlwind travel week. I went straight from Nashville for the Pillsbury Bake-Off to New York City for a Fisher Nuts event with Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Both stops were fantastic, but coming back to my boys was the best part.
There really is something electric about NYC. Even with the chaos of Times Square, I love wandering the streets — it’s loud, crowded, and somehow exhilarating.
I spotted the most perfect Sprinkles Swatch Watch in Times Square and couldn’t resist grabbing it — too fun to pass up! Holiday displays are already everywhere, and Sephora’s gift sets made me do a little early shopping for myself. Perfume, brushes, and playful makeup sets are hard to ignore this time of year.
Arizona is finally cooling down — by “cooling down” I mean highs in the 80s and mornings and evenings in the 60s, which feels like heaven. That change in weather means I can wear booties and scarves again. Next on my list are the simple, perfect Sam Edelman Petty booties I’ve been eyeing.
Also a quick shout-out to my favorite track pants — they’re on sale right now and I wear them nearly every week. Comfortable staples like these are must-haves for busy days at home or traveling.
I love getting the boys in the kitchen with me. Last Sunday we made lasagna together — a delicious, messy project that turned into a lot of laughs. Pax spent most of the time dancing around the kitchen while we cooked.
We also took the kids to see Big Hero 6 this week and loved it. If you have kids, it’s a great family movie — my boys enjoyed it so much they want to go again with Dad.

One thing I never thought I’d admit so early, but we put up our Christmas tree last night. I wanted to enjoy it for as long as possible this year, so why not start early? Pictures will be coming soon.
